They recently came and diagnosed a repair that another ac contractor said would be very expensive and take a week to complete. They found the real problem and fixed it in less than an hour far less.

Replaced motor on my A/C. Gave me a fair price. Didn’t try to push things on me I didn’t need. I’ve had other A/C companies who’ve quoted me at $350 then go work on A/C, come back inside & hand me a bill for $1,400 because they added things I did not agree to. L & R a/c does not do that. They fix what needs to be fixed, explain it in plain English & are kind & respectful. And as I woman, I feel comfortable with the male technicians in my home. They are always kind and respectful. Had one little problem and they immediately came out to fix it without cost or question. I’m definitely pleased with this company and will continue to use them in the future.

My heat was down, they came to the house the same day that I called them. They diagnosed the issue of a freon leak in the evaporator, they order it and set my unit to emergency heat, they returned within 2 days, replaced the evaporator, and got everything up and running. Our AC unit lost its cool on a Wednesday night, so we called L & R – they were quick to arrive on Thursday. The tech diagnosed that the unit had a Freon leak, so he added a couple of lbs. of Freon and said we would wait and see how soon it leaked out. It leaked out within a couple of hours, so we called the company back and they said they could install a new system Saturday. We slept rather uncomfortably Thursday night, with temperatures in the 80’s. The next day (Friday) the owner called and said he could possibly do the install on Friday, instead – we said, “Um, sure, that would be great!” We were glad to get it done a day early and not have to endure another night of sweating. The owner predicted the installation would take about 5 hours – it took exactly 5 hours, from 2 pm till 7 pm. The unit runs quietly and cools very well. We are happy with our new unit. The owner and his techs are respectful, friendly, clean and efficient, and seem to know their stuff. They also gave us tips on how to maintain the unit’s drain line so it wouldn’t clog up.

Called because my AC was short cycling. At the beginning of September in Florida, that’s not gonna fly. I called at 6pm and within 15 mins Randy from L&R was at my door. The team at L&R Air Conditioning was courteous, on-time, and professional. We’ve used them before and were happy to use them again. I called another AC company to check it same day and they gave us a laundry list of things wrong with the conclusion being replace the AC unit and air handler. I called L&R and after checking everything, they said it was running fine and didn’t need replacement. The coils and lines were dirty and needed cleaning. They cleaned the coils, lines, pan, and rerouted our drain line away from our front door, all for barely more than we were originally quoted to flush some water down a drain line and vacuum out a gallon of water. Next time I’ll make sure to call L&R first.

We had Randy come out to give us a quote on a new unit, ended up doing some minor servicing on our existing unit. Increased our split temp by several degrees (to the standard of 15+). He did all the proper steps, checking intake and exhaust Temps, pressure, coils, fan, the works. Did all of this quickly and professionally.
In the hour since he started, we have already dropped 2.5 degrees! Normally our temp at 5pm is 80+ degrees. And we have already seen a temp drop! Also, the quote on a new unit is way more reasonable than what our other company wanted to charge.

The gentleman arrived promptly and got right to work assessing the problem after I briefly explained what was happening under my air handler. Once he pinpointed my issue he took the time to explained everything to me and reassured me that my very old unit should be just fine and no need to get a new one right away which was a great relief to me. Then he even added a little Freon to the system no charge to help with cooling the temperature down. He was awesome, fast, and friendly.
